OLIVER SMITH JEWELER ANNOUNCES PGA PLAYER BILLY HORSCHEL AS BRAND AMBASSADOR!
April 18, 2014 – Scottsdale, AZ – Oliver Smith Jeweler is pleased to introduce PGA Tour player and 2013 Zurich Classic of New Orleans winner Billy Horschel as its brand ambassador. Next week, Thursday, April 24 – Sunday, April 27, Billy Horschel will defend his 2013 victory at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans tournament.
Horschel, 27, is a native to Florida. Known as Billy professionally and personally, he was a four time all American at the University of Florida and holds the record of shooting a 60 during the US amateur in 2006. Billy was SEC Conference Player of the Year in 2007 and 2009. Billy turned professional in 2009, and after his 2013 Zurich win moved to third place in the FedEx Cup standings, third place on the PGA Tour money list, and 49 in the Official World Golf Ranking. In 2013, Billy became the first player in US Open history to hit all greens in one round in regulation which placed him directly into the USGA Museum.
Oliver and Billy are looking forward to working together promoting the Oliver Smith Jeweler brand. Oliver has had his store in Scottsdale for 32 years and personally designs all his jewelry for the Boho, Stardust, Signature and Fleur Collections.
With a love for golf and philanthropy it was a natural partnership for Oliver and Billy. Outside of his professional golf career, Billy participates in many charity opportunities including Habitat for Humanity and various military aid organizations. His goal is to create his own charity in the future. Oliver and his wife Aimee are also very dedicated to fundraising efforts. Over the years they have donated more than a million dollars to the local community.
